The SILAS membership comprises the whole range of libraries in Singapore, from the public and academic libraries to special libraries such as those of ministries, schools, hospitals, and private companies.  There are basically two types of members: ones who contribute to the SILAS databases with their catalogue records and holdings data, and search-only members. There is also a membership category for library suppliers. Members pay an annual subscription fee. For this, they enjoy basic access to the SILAS databases and are offered very favourable rates for the additional services and products available to them. Libraries can benefit in many ways from joining SILAS.  Here are some of them.
